Where We Work
Children of the Dawn has a footprint in both rural locations in five provinces across the country. Rural poverty remains a key focus of our work, with a commitment to deepen the impact of our programmes and show real change in the lives of communities. We focus on rural development with nine existing rural programmes in which we have been working for many years.
Who we work with
We work with rural community initiatives to support HIV/AIDS orphans and vulnerable children, ensuring that they attain the financial and technical means to care for their children with a long-term, sustained and holistic approach, looking at the whole spectrum of children’s needs. Children of the Dawn recognises the limitations of rural community initiatives to direct long term change and consider that the only means for, sustainable development and structural change is through the movements of communities who are directly affected.
Our Programme Approach
Children of the Dawn programme approach is grounded in the Human Rights-Based Approach which is the fundamental of Children of the Dawn practice for sustainable development and structural change.
